Briefing:

As participants of the New Blood Awards of Ad&D we must answer this needing: Design a new way for people to interact with  must-see Sky Original entertainment content  (see Things to think about). Your job is to create  more immersive experiences for customers  around the content they love, enabled by data  and technology that feels alive.  You should consider what new opportunities  your idea could offer to deepen connections  and develop exciting, rewarding interactions.  Go beyond the traditional streamer/viewer  relationship on traditional platforms and create  something people want to be part of.

Intro: 

It's not a secret that the audiovisual industry has to represent the our world in all its diferences. People say it: 84% of companies that make tv programmes and films should commit to increasing diversity and representation on screen (ViacomCBS, October 2021).

On top of that, we all are multi-screen consumers: 77% of the time we watch tv, we use another device ("The new multi-screen world study", Google, October 2012).

So, there are two issues to solve in the entretainment industry: representation and multi-screen.

WeSky. Where we all reach for the stars.

Sky is creating the first platform where everyone can be the protagonist of the story. Lets transform thestorytelling into storyliving!

WeSky is a multi-screen software that inserts the user's avatar into Sky's animated content. This allows people from all backgrounds to star in their favourite stories on the big screen and learn about other realities and experiences. It also gives them the opportunity to learn about and empathise with other realities. 

This project takes advantage of Sky's easy network connectivity. The ability to connect your TV and smartphone makes it easy to explore other avatars and customise your own.

This multi-screen application changes the role of the mobile phone, from a source of interruption to a complement to entertainment. 

How does it work:

1.  Create your avatar with your smartphone.

2. Choose your content from Sky Originals.

3. Find out which random avatar will be your guest.

4. Get to know the guest avatar.

5. Enjoy your story!
